Welcome to Alleviant Health Centers of Akron. We are driven and highly productive team of clinicians who offer novel, holistic healing methods to Akron, Fairlawn, and the surrounding communities. We enjoy a lively and welcoming work environment and we promise to lift the spirits of every person who walks through our door. Our goal is to journey with each patient on the road to healing from mood disorders, addiction, and chronic pain.
We help people suffering from mood disorders and chronic pain using innovative holistic treatments.
Psychiatric Care
We provide comprehensive psychiatric services to treat the whole person. We conduct full psychiatric evaluations and offer medication management appointments for patients with a diagnosed mood disorder. We create an individualized treatment plan for you based on your particular diagnosis and needs. Our doctors, nurses, and therapists work collaboratively to integrate care and set you on your path to healing.
Counseling
Counseling is about restoring hope in yourself when you don’t feel like you have anywhere to go. We create a safe place to share your innermost feelings, allowing you to gain perspective and learn about yourself. Counseling is the first step to healing the whole person as you journey to rediscover hope. From our initial goal-setting sessions to the progress you make during each visit, you are in control of the process. We offer counseling to adults and children in both individual and family settings.
Ketamine Infusion Therapy
Ketamine Infusions are an effective treatment for mood disorders and certain pain conditions. Approximately 70% of patients experience a significant reduction in symptoms – many during the first infusion. Ketamine infusion therapy requires multiple infusions over a short period of time, and range from one to several hours, depending on the diagnosis.
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)
TMS is a non-invasive procedure for treatment-resistant depression. It delivers magnetic impulses through an electromagnetic coil to the prefrontal cortex, the region of the brain associated with mood control. TMS helps nerves begin to communicate again and reinforces positive nerve pathways. Therapy takes place five days a week for four to six weeks. Each treatment lasts less than 4 minutes. TMS is FDA-approved for treatment-resistant depression. We preauthorize patients to make sure that their insurance is accepted.
Theta Burst Stimulation (TBS)
Theta Burst Stimulation (TBS) is a single constant 39-second train of impulses that inhibits neurons on the right side of the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (mirror image of spot targeted for depression). It rapidly alleviates anxiety and, combined with standard TMS treatments, yields a much higher success rate in healing depression.
Massage Therapy
Massage brings many benefits to those struggling with both chronic pain and depression or anxiety. It improves circulation, increases endorphins, reduces stress hormones, relieves muscle tension and pain, and increases mobility. Perhaps most importantly, massage provides an opportunity to slow down, pause, and concentrate on getting in touch with your body and the power it has to heal itself from within. Our experienced massage therapists are here to help you with a variety of modalities to meet the physical, mental, and emotional needs of your overall healing.
We see people with the following health conditions:

Sciatica refers to pain or discomfort associated with the sciatic nerve. This nerve runs from the lower part of the spinal cord, down the back of the leg, and to the foot. Injury to or pressure on the sciatic nerve can cause the characteristic pain of sciatica: a sharp or burning pain that radiates from the lower back or hip, possibly following the path of the sciatic nerve to the foot.

Strong feeling of relief
“I have been depressed since the age of 10. That was when I made my first suicide attempt. I’ve been on more than 15 anti-depressant medications and gone through many different therapies. For years, I had almost constant thoughts about suicide. I knew about TMS from previous research, and after I heard an ad for Alleviant on the radio, I was at the clinic within a week. Nick and his staff were all very professional and kind and made me feel very much at ease. After 8 or 10 sessions, I realized that I wasn’t thinking about killing myself anymore. Now I am no longer stressed and have a strong feeling of relief. “
So fortunate I found Alleviant!
“I am so fortunate that I found Alleviant Health! Dr. Molina has helped me so much. He talks with me in ways I understand and that means a lot to me. Julie is also able to help me with understanding how to better help myself ! A great team is here to help!“
The pain from my rheumatoid arthritis is pretty much gone!
“The pain and inflammation from my rheumatoid arthritis is pretty much gone. For years and years, I always have this nauseous feeling especially when I wake up in the morning and I have a hard time eating. So when I do feel like eating I binge eat and so I gained a lot of weight doing that. That’s all gone, and the treatments have reduced my anxiety and my anger mood swings.”
My boyfriend was previously prescribed Suboxone but this helped him come off of it!
“By my boyfriend’s second treatment, his agoraphobia, pain, limp, and depression were gone, and he continued to improve for the last four. Just a different person, the person I fell in love with. He was previously prescribed Suboxone but this helped him come off of it.”
