Anna Popova is a licensed Certified Nurse Practitioner in the state of Ohio with prescriptive authority. She holds a board certification in Psychiatric Mental Health from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and can see patients of all ages.

Anna offers many services, including diagnostic assessments, medication management, and adjunct psychotherapy. In addition, she is able to coordinate referral services for purposeful psychotherapy, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, and Ketamine infusion therapy. It is her personal goal to provide evidence-based care in a holistic and collaborative manner. Anna believes a therapeutic relationship built upon respect, trust, empowerment, and security is essential in the holistic treatment of her patients.

After earning her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, OH, Anna worked at the Cleveland Clinic Thoracic Surgery/Cardiac Telemetry Stepdown Unit. She then gained experience in long term care with the geriatric population. Anna finally found her niche in nursing when she worked at Bellefaire JCB Inpatient/Outpatient Autistic, Mental Health Services and Counseling Center for Children/Adolescents in Shaker Heights, OH where she fell in love with psychiatric nursing. She saw how mental health profoundly affects our physical health. Anna was fascinated to learn about the pathophysiology of various psychiatric disorders and the treatment options available. Her work inspired her to further her education by obtaining a Master’s of Science in Nursing Degree from the University of Akron and she graduated in 2016. She has worked as a Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner since January 2017 in various outpatient mental health and addiction treatment settings.

Anna is excited about the opportunity to work at Alleviant Health Centers of Akron, providing patients with quality mental health care in a holistic and collaborative environment. She is currently accepting new psychiatric patients at Alleviant Health Centers of Akron.

Outside of work, Anna stays busy being a mother of her precious young daughter, Abbie. In the little spare time that she does have, she enjoys traveling, eating out, spending time outdoors with her dog, Chloe, and her cat, Milo. Anna used to figure skate competitively and occasionally skates as a hobby. She hopes to inspire her daughter to figure skate as well. Anna is bilingual in English and Russian and is accepting bilingual patients into her practice at this time.
