Cordney Purcell is a Mental Health Paraprofessional who provides options and services to meet the unique needs of individuals, youth and families.
Cortney comes to Alleviant Health Centers from Oakwood Springs Behavioral Hospital in Oklahoma City, where he provided direct care and supervision for residents, ensuring their safety helping them with self-help skills as well as problem solving and decision-making skills and providing recreational and therapeutic activities for the residents.
He also worked as a child welfare specialist, investigating, documenting and recommending intervention in cases of abuse or neglect. He coordinated with legal services and helped train and recruit foster families, assisting in all phases of ensuring the care of children. Cordney’s experience as a life skills technician include assisting with anger management, problem solving, self-esteem, accountability, goal setting, and emotional expression.
Cordney holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, and case manager certifications in Arkansas and Oklahoma.
