Peggy Rathbun joins the Alleviant team with more than 15 years of experience in customer service and helping people deal with financial challenges.
She attended Black River Technology College, and her career in the health care field began in 2008 when she became an account receivable clerk at a local pathology clinic. Peggy was responsible for verifying patient demographics and insurance information, entering surgical charges, and posting insurance payments.
After joining Northeast Arkansas Baptist Clinic, Peggy reviewed and explained clinic collection policies, determining account eligibility, established payment plan agreements, and monitored patient accounts. She became a certified Epic trainer, then advanced in the field by becoming a billing supervisor and then a billing analyst at NEABC.
In 2019 she joined the DFA child support division, where she documented and initiated actions on child support cases, assisted in identifying and locating non-custodial parents and monitored and collected money paid to individual cases.
Peggy has been married to her husband Steve for 31 years. They have four grown children and six grandkids.
