Sadie Blackwell is a board-certified psychiatric registered nurse and has worked many years with patients suffering from a variety of mental health illnesses in the inpatient setting. She believes in treating the individual and their symptoms, not just a diagnosis, with a combination of psychotherapy, nutrition, exercise, medication, and procedures such as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and ketamine infusions.
Research plays a role in her treatment choices, and Sadie strives to communicate all options to patients to develop a treatment plan. She works within a team of clinicians, therapists, and support staff that all want what is best for the individual and their families. Sadie received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Political Science from the University of Mississippi, and a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, returning as a Professor of Nursing for two years before joining Alleviant.
She then earned her Master of Nursing Science with a specialization in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
