Depression

You’re Not Alone — And You Don’t Have to Stay Stuck

At Alleviant Integrated Mental Health, we understand that depression is more than just feeling down — it’s a deep, often invisible struggle that can touch every corner of your life. If you’re here, you may be feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or hopeless. We want you to know: you are not alone, and healing is possible.

We believe in treating the whole person — not just the symptoms. Our compassionate, full-service team is here to walk beside you with real solutions that restore balance and empower you to thrive.

What Is Depression?

Depression (major depressive disorder) is a common but serious condition that affects your mood, thoughts, and ability to function. It’s not a sign of weakness, and it’s not something you can just “snap out of.” It’s a medical condition that deserves understanding, compassion, and evidence-based care.

Signs & Symptoms of Depression

  • Persistent sadness, emptiness, or hopelessness

  • Loss of interest or pleasure in things you used to enjoy

  • Changes in sleep — trouble falling or staying asleep, or sleeping too much

  • Appetite or weight changes

  • Low energy or fatigue

  • Difficulty concentrating or making decisions

  • Feelings of guilt, shame, or worthlessness

  • Thoughts of death, dying, or suicide

Everyone experiences depression differently. Your symptoms are real, and your story matters.

Our Comprehensive, Team-Based Approach

At Alleviant, we provide comprehensive psychiatric care — meaning we’re equipped to handle all of your mental health needs under one roof. From therapy and medication management to advanced treatments like TMS and Spravato®, our integrated care team works together to support every part of your healing journey.

We practice what we call Objective Psychiatry — a revolutionary approach that uses real, measurable data to inform diagnosis and guide treatment. Through spectral EEG (sEEG) brain mapping, we can now visualize the brain’s electrical activity — providing the first true “vital sign for the brain.” This allows us to move beyond guesswork and create a more accurate, personalized path to recovery.

Treatment Options for Depression at Alleviant

Medication Management (In-Person or Telehealth)

We use a thoughtful, personalized approach to medications — with careful monitoring, education, and regular check-ins to make sure they’re working for you.

Pharmacogenetic Testing

We offer testing that helps tailor your medication plan based on your genetic makeup — reducing trial-and-error and increasing the chance of finding the right treatment faster.

Therapy (In-Person or Telehealth)

Evidence-based psychotherapy can help you understand your depression, process trauma, and develop tools to navigate life more effectively.

Spravato® (Esketamine)

Spravato® is a nasal spray medication approved for treatment-resistant depression and depressive symptoms in adults with suicidal thoughts. It’s administered in a monitored, supportive clinical setting for your safety and comfort.

sEEG Brain Mapping

Our Spectral EEG gives a fast, non-invasive snapshot of your brainwave activity. It helps us personalize your care by identifying imbalances that may be contributing to your depression.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)

TMS is an FDA-cleared, non-invasive treatment that uses gentle magnetic pulses to stimulate specific areas of the brain involved in mood and anxiety regulation. At Alleviant, we follow established FDA protocols for depression, anxious depression, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) — ensuring safe, evidence-based care.

In addition, we offer a fully personalized form of TMS known as NeuroSync™. This advanced, off-label treatment is guided by your own spectral EEG (sEEG) data, allowing us to customize the frequency, intensity, and target areas based on your brain’s unique electrical activity. It’s psychiatry made smarter — tailored to you.

Health Coaching (Telehealth)

Our certified health coaches help support brain and body wellness by addressing nutritional imbalances that can affect mood regulation, toxic exposures (like inflammation triggers or environmental toxins), and deficiencies in sleep, movement, or essential nutrients. These root-level factors play a powerful role in maintaining mood stability and brain resilience.
