Miriam Koesy earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock, followed by a Master of Nursing Science from the same institution. During graduate school, she worked as a registered nurse in a psychiatric inpatient setting, providing care across the lifespan.
After completing her graduate studies, Miriam became a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, treating a diverse range of patients—including children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and individuals struggling with substance abuse—in both acute and residential settings. She takes a holistic approach to care, incorporating medication management alongside other interventions to enhance quality of life.
Miriam is especially passionate about patient education. She believes that providing patients with knowledge about their conditions and treatment options empowers them to take an active role in their care, fostering a stronger, more collaborative treatment process. Her ultimate goal is to help patients feel empowered, motivated, and engaged in their journey to wellness.
