Tiwana Allen, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-C, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to treating the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. She is passionate about creating a safe, supportive environment where patients feel heard, empowered, and equipped on their journey toward wellness. Her approach to care integrates nutrition, exercise, medication management, and psychotherapy to support lasting mental and emotional health.

Tiwana brings more than two decades of healthcare experience to her role, with a strong background in family practice and preventive care. After witnessing the growing mental health needs within communities throughout her 24 years as a Family Nurse Practitioner, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, she was inspired to pursue advanced training in psychiatric mental health. Her goal is to help patients focus on prevention, resilience, and proactive mental wellness rather than only seeking care during times of crisis.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Tennessee State University, her Master of Science in Nursing from University of Kansas, and her Post-Master’s Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health from University of Missouri–Kansas City. Her professional background includes experience with Consiglio Wellness Center, Cerner/Oracle, and Walgreens Healthcare Clinic.

Tiwana joined Alleviant Health Centers in May 2026 and currently serves patients in Shawnee. She values Alleviant’s commitment to whole-person care and its emphasis on the connection between mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health.

Patients often describe Tiwana as kind, compassionate, calm, and approachable. She finds the greatest fulfillment in helping individuals recognize that they are more than their diagnoses and supporting them as they build successful, meaningful lives.

Originally from Kansas City, Tiwana has been married for 21 years and is the proud mother of two young adults. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, cooking, and relaxing with a good romantic comedy. She also believes laughter is therapeutic and an important part of overall wellness.
