Crystal Calderon
Crystal Calderon is a certified nursing assistant and patient support specialist at Alleviant’s Fort Smith location. She says she has always been intrigued by mental health and realized that working in the field was where she needed to be.
“Seeing patients walk in with a high depression rating scale, watching them progress through treatment with a low depression rating, and how happy they have become from the time they walked into the time they have finished treatment is easily the best part of her job,” Crystal said. “I always feel so happy knowing that I just made that small impact on someone’s life. It’s an incredible feeling.”
A Fort Smith native, Crystal is a graduate of both the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith and Northside High.
Outside of work, Crystal fills her time with her husband, son, and mini French bulldog, Tank, who thinks he is just as tough as any big dog.
“We love to spend time with each other on weekends,” she said. “We spend a lot of time at the soccer field, and we love to travel and go to theme parks and concerts. I love Zumba; so, when I have free time, I’m usually at the gym in a Zumba class.”
