Crystal is a psychiatric nurse practitioner at Alleviant’s Conway location. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Arkansas. Her areas of focus include depression, anxiety, disruptive disorders, and impulse control and conduct disorders.

“I have always been drawn to the unique needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents in the realm of mental health,” she said. “However, after opening our home to the foster system, I realized the immense need for mental health providers for both children and adolescents, as well as for their caregivers. This realization inspired me to continue my education as a PMHNP, enabling me to provide care for both the children and their caretakers.”

Crystal said she chose to work at Alleviant because the company acknowledges that mental well-being is shaped by various factors beyond psychological processes, thus addressing the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit.

“The most enjoyable part of my job is empowering patients by restoring their hope and giving them renewed motivation,” she said. “When a patient has a positive outcome, I have a sense of fulfillment, joy, and gratitude.”

Known as fun and a good listener, Crystal is also lauded for her patience and explaining things well.
