Malavanh “Mal” Rassavong

Malavanh “Mal” Rassavong is a Healthcare Marketing Outreach Specialist at Alleviant Integrated Mental Health, based in Las Vegas, Nevada. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The University of Akron and began her role at Alleviant in June 2025. With a 25-year background in healthcare, Mal has always been driven by the opportunity to make a tangible difference in people’s lives. Her passion for mental health stems from a deep belief in the importance of seeing and supporting the whole person, listening to their stories, validating their struggles, and helping them rediscover hope. Prior to joining Alleviant, she spent 22 years at University Hospitals in Northern Ohio and most recently served as the Marketing Manager for Goodwill of Southern Nevada.

What drew her to Alleviant was its innovative and objective approach to mental health care, which she sees as setting a new standard in the field. For Mal, the most rewarding part of her work is being part of someone’s healing process. It serves as a reminder of how meaningful, though challenging, mental healthcare can be. Colleagues and clients alike describe her as thoughtful, kind, trustworthy, and dependable.

Born in Laos, Mal and her family fled the communist regime in 1979 and eventually settled in Akron, Ohio, where she was raised. She comes from a close-knit family with three sisters living across Florida, Ohio, and Georgia, and they remain in regular contact despite the distance. Mal shares her home with four beloved dogs, a Pomeranian-Husky mix family of two parents and their pups, who bring joy and laughter to her everyday life.

Outside of work, Mal enjoys camping, hiking, and exploring the outdoors with her partner. They also love concerts, Broadway shows, and trying new vegan recipes together. A fun fact about Mal is that she comes from a family of artists and enjoys painting in her spare time. Her artwork, including murals and portraits, has been commissioned by medical offices, businesses, and private clients.
