Trauma or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

Healing Is Possible — And You Don’t Have to Do It Alone

Trauma changes things. It can leave lasting marks that affect how you see the world, how you trust others, and how you feel in your own body. If you’re living with nightmares, flashbacks, hypervigilance, or a constant sense of unease — it’s not “all in your head.” It’s real. And we’re here to help.

At Alleviant Integrated Mental Health, we specialize in helping individuals move from surviving to thriving. You are not broken — your brain is responding to overwhelming stress the only way it knows how. With compassionate care and cutting-edge tools, we can help restore safety, connection, and peace.

What Is PTSD?

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition triggered by experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event — such as abuse, violence, accidents, combat, natural disasters, or other overwhelming stressors. For some, symptoms begin soon after the trauma. For others, they can show up months or even years later.

Common PTSD Symptoms

  • Intrusive memories, nightmares, or flashbacks

  • Emotional numbness or detachment from others

  • Avoidance of reminders or situations related to the trauma

  • Hypervigilance, irritability, or exaggerated startle response

  • Trouble sleeping or concentrating

  • Feelings of guilt, shame, or hopelessness

  • Depression, anxiety, or panic attacks

  • Dissociation or feeling disconnected from reality

You’re not weak for feeling this way. These are normal reactions to abnormal events — and with the right care, healing is absolutely possible

An Empathetic, Evidence-Based Approach

Our PTSD treatment model is rooted in compassion, clinical excellence, and the guiding principles of Objective Psychiatry. We don’t rely solely on symptoms — we also look at what’s happening in your brain. With spectral EEG (sEEG) brain mapping, we can observe and measure how trauma has impacted your brainwave activity, helping us design a treatment plan that’s as unique as your story.

Treatment Options for PTSD at Alleviant

Comprehensive Psychiatry (In-Person or Telehealth)

Our psychiatric providers lead a collaborative team that supports your healing from every angle — using a combination of clinical expertise, compassion, and personalized care strategies.

Medication Management

Medications can help reduce symptoms like anxiety, depression, or sleep disturbances. Our team provides thoughtful, individualized medication plans — sometimes in conjunction with other therapies — to support your recovery.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)

TMS is a non-invasive treatment that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate and rebalance areas of the brain affected by trauma. We follow FDA protocols for depression and OCD and also offer NeuroSync™, a customized, off-label protocol guided by your brain’s unique EEG patterns — designed to gently support recovery and emotional regulation at the neurological level.

Trauma-Informed Therapy (In-Person or Telehealth)

We offer various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) where available, designed specifically to help you process trauma safely and effectively.

Spectral EEG (sEEG)

With a quick, painless 4-minute scan, we can visualize your brain’s electrical activity — offering the first measurable “vital sign” for the brain. This allows us to understand how trauma has affected your neurological functioning and track improvements over time.

Health Coaching (Telehealth)

Because anxiety affects the body as well as the mind, our certified health coaches play a vital role in your recovery by addressing nutritional imbalances that may worsen symptoms, toxic exposures (like mold, heavy metals, or chemicals) that affect mental health, and deficiencies in essential nutrients, sleep, or lifestyle habits. We help build a foundation of wellness that supports your brain’s ability to heal and adapt.

You don’t have to stay trapped in the past.

Trauma may shape you, but it does not have to define your future. Whether you’ve lived with PTSD for years or are just beginning to understand your symptoms, we are here with open hearts and proven tools. We see you. We believe you. And we’re ready to help.
