Audra Gately, LCSW
Audra is a licensed certified social worker (AR, TX, SD, & FL) and certified parent-child interaction therapist at Alleviant’s North Little Rock location. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in education with a focus on outdoor leadership from the University of Arkansas and a Master of Science in social work from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
Known as very empathetic, understanding, and non-judgmental, Audra said she was drawn to a career in mental health because she feels that she can relate to most people’s struggles on a personal level.
“I was always the friend that my friends came to when they need to work through something or bounce ideas of another person,” she said.
She was drawn to Alleviant because of the company’s holistic and cutting-edge approach to mental health.
“When a client has a positive outcome, I feel pride – in both myself and the patient,” she said. “Witnessing the transformation in another person is amazing. Sometimes by the time a patient gets to therapy with me, they are hopeless. I love seeing the light come back into their eyes.”
A native of Fort Smith, she has a son, Sage, and daughter, Stella, who she said “still love hanging out with their momma.”
Away from the office, Audra enjoys travel, being outdoors, camping, paragliding, riding dirt bikes, snow skiing, and hanging out with her my kids at home.
