Karen Sandage

Karen is a procedure specialist at Alleviant’s Fayetteville location. She holds a Bachelor of Science from St. Paul University in Manila in the Philippines. She worked in the hospitality industry since graduating from college, and recently switched career paths and has an eye on going back to school for nursing.

“I think working at Alleviant will help me explore this career more and help others with their mental health,” she said. “Alleviant has helped a lot of patients with their mental health, and I want to be a part of that cause.”

Karen said contributing to helping make a change for the better in someone else’s life is one of the greatest feelings there is.

A native of Manila, Karen is known as very bubbly and talkative.

“I like a good laugh, and I am very open type of person. I try see the positive side in every situation I’m in.”

She moved to the United States to be with her then fiancé, now husband. They initially resided in Colorado but moved to northwest Arkansas to be closer to his family. The couple has a border collie mix, named Max.

Away from work, she enjoys arts and crafts, especially drawing and painting; outdoor activities, like hiking and skiing; and taking the stage to sing karaoke since it is a very popular thing to do with friends and family in the Philippines.
