Jeanna Pennington, M.S., LPC
Jeanna Pennington is a therapist at Alleviant Health Centers of Camden. She believes that if clinicians take time to listen, every day is a day to learn something amazing from every person we meet. Her desire is to help each client learn skills to allow them to map out their own future, learning to heal and grow in all aspects of their lives.
Jeanna started her career in mental health as a psychiatric case manager and then transitioned to a mental health therapist working for an outpatient clinic (office and school-based clients). She has been working in mental health for more than seven years and finds joy in helping others find their own path. “In this field, I learn more from my clients than they do from me,” Jeanna said.
She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology with an emphasis in child psychology from Columbia Southern University, a graduate degree in Counseling from Southern Arkansas University – Magnolia, and is currently certified in Clinical Trauma and has advanced training in TFCB-T.
Jeanna has been married for almost 18 years to her husband and they have a very sassy 3-year-old daughter (who they prayed many years for). She enjoys crafting, spending time at her family lake house, and spending time on her farm.
“I actually went to school to be an airplane mechanic and it wasn’t until I had to take flying lessons in my second year that I decided that was not the path for me – I don’t like to fly in small planes!”
