Shelly Evans is a licensed clinical social worker and telehealth therapist at Alleviant whose areas of focus include adults and teens, anxiety, depression, life transitions, family, and marriage.

Shelly earned her master’s degree in social work from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2018 and has worked in mental health since then.

She was led to a career in the field after she started going to therapy and witnessed the positive changes it could make in people’s lives.

“It’s humbling to know I get to play even a small role in their journey,” Shelly said. “I love getting to know my clients and working through their thoughts, behaviors, and feelings with them. Processing is so underrated and so needed!”

She came to Alleviant because of its multi-faceted approach to mental healthcare.

“We have nurses, doctors, psychiatrists and therapists with all backgrounds and experiences providing a thorough review of patient charts,” she said.

Known as open and welcoming, she said, “My ultimate goal is to help you NOT need me.”

Shelly grew up in Poyen, Ark. Today, she, her wife, Amber, and three beautiful daughters live in Benton along with their two guinea pigs and dog, Reese.

Away from work, she enjoys spending time with her family.

“We’ve instilled the love of travel into our kids, and our favorite thing to do is find new places to explore!”
